Leading Knight  Michele Klees  Michele Klees Leading Knight Michele Klees was born in Tangiers, Morocco and came to the U.S. with her mother in Sept. 1974. She lived in Sherman Oaks, California where she had bought a couple of houses in Simi Valley then moved to Reseda. Michele has attended Van Nuys High School, Los Angeles Valley College, and Cal State Northridge University. Ms Klees received her Bachelor of Arts degree at CSUN in Sociology / Criminology and Corrections pursuing an education in law and business. Michele Klees has also worked in grocery distribution, construction, and in auctions and has traveled in Europe for fun and has traveled in the U.S. for business. Michele was introduced to Elkdom by Ed Werbeck in 2001 while renting the hall in Vista for an auction. She is quoted as saying "I had asked him what the Elks were all about and he signed me up that day". Ms Klees was initiated into the Van Nuys-Reseda Elks Lodge #2790 on May 16, 2001 where she served as a Trustee for 3 years, Leading Knight for 2 years, Scholarship Chairman, and Bulletin Editor. Moving to Vista, California in October 2006, she demitted those posts in favor of Vista Elks #1968 and has taken the chair of Loyal Knight and currently as Leading Knight since April 07.
